Introduction
How-to Tutorial
Step1: Mix TiO2 solution and Coat the bottle with four coats
It speeds things up a lot to use an electric heater or fan to dry the coating faster.
Step2: Engrave
Mount the bottle on the rotary. Move the first section for the engraving to the Design Space. Hide the other two sections. Set the radius, and hide the outline and radius of the selected section. Using the Preview, set the focus and the location to be engraved. Repeat for the middle section, then the top section, The angle of the bottle has to be changed to level the last section.
After the engraving is complete, wash the coating off with warm water. A toothbrush works pretty good for this. You should get a good black engraving.
Another tip for engraving bottles: Brown glass bottles being engraved using the black tempera method MUST be completely filled with water or the bottle will crack.
