How-to Tutorial

Step 1 engrave and cut

1. Engrave and cut the pieces.

Lay out all wooden parts.

You should have:

• 1 front panel

• 1 back panel

• 2 top pieces (decorative lids)

• 2 bottom pieces

• 2 side clasp pieces (thin pieces that lock together)

2. Assemble the Interior Frame

• Take the two thin clasp pieces.

Snap them together so they interlock and form the inner frame that holds the gift card.

• Make sure the opening is facing upward so a card can slide in and out.

3. Glue the Frame to the Front Panel

• Apply a very small amount of glue to the flat side of the clasp/frame assembly (avoid excess glue so the card slot doesn’t seal shut).

• Press the clasp/frame piece onto the inside center of the front wooden panel and let it set for a few seconds.

4. Attach the Top & Bottom Pieces (Front Side)

• Glue the front top wooden piece above the clasp frame.

• Glue the front bottom wooden piece below it.

• IMPORTANT: Align the top and bottom pieces tightly so no visible gap forms where they meet.

5. Repeat for the Back Panel

• Flip the piece over.

• Glue the back top and back bottom pieces in place, again ensuring the seam lines up with no gap.

6. Drying Time

• Let the glue fully dry before trying to pull the top open.

• Once dry, gently lift the sliding top — you now have a working gift-card compartment!

7. Decorate

•Paint with acrylic paint markers
