How-to Tutorial
Step 1 Cut the brass insert
Align the brass and stabilise on the cutting plate. The width and height of the heart is 18mm.
Use the metal cutting setting and ensure the preview is correct. Set the engraving parameters and start cutting. You may need to repeat the process to enable a clean cut.
Optional - if you want the heart engraved also, use the clipart button and use the heart clipart provided by LaserPecker. This will align perfectly onto the heart.

Step 2 Make the recess for the brass
Hide the outer hearts and text of the file, and have only the filled heart visible. Ensure it is correctly aligned to the centre of the keyring. Use the settings provided to produce the 18mm x 18mm heart recess. The amount of passes will depend on the hardness of the wood and the thickness of the metal.

Step 3 Add the border on the front and the text and border on the rear. Insert the brass insert.
Align the border to the keyring, ensuring the preview is correct on the keyring. Engrave this side.
Once this side is complete, turn it over and engrave both the border and text. Once again ensure alignment is correct.
That's now all complete. Finally insert the brass heart into the keyring. While it fit perfectly secure for me, you may require a small drop of super glue.
