Hand of the Oni – Aluminum Engraving
How-to
Engraved and laser-cut this piece on 1mm anodized aluminum using my LaserPecker LP5. The artwork features an Oni mask surrounded by flowers, emerging from an open hand holding a butterfly. You can use this piece as a keychain, stick it on your fridge, or as a decorative accent anywhere you like.

Step 1 How to Make It
How to Make It:
- Open the LaserPecker software.
- Upload the design and resize it to your preference.
- Go to the “Effect” tab, select “Dithered”, and invert the image.
- Apply the settings for "Picture" as shown in the example image.

Step 2 Cutting Steps
Cutting Step:
- Go to the top menu and click on “Outline”. Set the margin between the design and the cut — for this piece, I used a 2mm offset.
- In the “Line” section/layer, apply the cutting settings as shown in the reference image.
- Ready to engrave and cut!
